File Transfer Instructions
1. Select the blue FTP tab from the top menu of Midtown’s website.
2. As a new user, you will need to select the Sign Up button. If you have already signed up, go to step 4.
New users will need to fill out all the fields. Please create your User Name using your Company Name and create a password that will be easily to remember. By setting up your username like this, we instantly know that company from which the file is uploaded for faster processing.You will receive a message after you set up your account.
3. An email will be sent to you.
Please select the link inside the email message to complete your set up. This is your activation window. Select “click here” on your welcome screen for your initial log in.
4. Click on the blue FTP tab at the top right of Midtown’s home page.
5. Enter your username and password.
This will take you to your personal, secure FTP page. When you are on this page, you will be able to manage your account by selecting the items listed.
5. To submit a file, select “Upload file.”
This will take you to the upload screen. Click “Browse” to select the file you would like to upload. Please remember to place all items needed for a job into a folder and compress the folder. Add a P.O. # or Reference number from your bid you received from Midtown. Please include any notes or comments you may have including a DUE DATE and any contact email address in reference to the file in the comments section. When you have all fields filled in, click the “Upload File.” Note: Max file size accepted is less than 100 mg. Please contact your Sales Rep or a Customer Service Rep if your files are larger than this limit for alternative solutions.
6. You will observe a progress bar indicating the time it will take to upload your file.
You will be able to verify your upload is successful when the progress bar is complete.
7. An email will be sent to the designated email address for your FTP account as well as a notification to Midtown that the file has been received.
